If you're coming to Myrtle Beach because you've heard the weather is spectacular, you won't be disappointed. Spring, summer and fall are usually warm and sunny, and even the January daily average high temperature is 56 degrees! The skies are that famous "Carolina Blue", and the beaches are some of the widest found in the country. Myrtle Beach is one of the nation's top vacation destinations, and with good reason. There is so much to do here, you will never be bored! You can choose to be on the go from dawn till late at night, or just relax in a beach chair and soak up the sun. Whatever your schedule, you'll enjoy the southern hospitality and the natural beauty Myrtle Beach is famous for.

For golfers, this is paradise, with over 100 courses that cater to players of every skill level. And for those who love fishing and boating, we have both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, with plenty of marinas, piers, water sport rentals, and charter fishing. The Cherry Grove Pier is right in our area, and offers some of the best fishing you'll find along this part of the South Carolina coast.

The Myrtle Beach area has over 1500 restaurants, with everything from beach clubs to gourmet dining. We can direct you to whatever your dining preference is…many of the top spots are right here in the North Myrtle Beach area. We're also known for our theme restaurants, such as All-Star Café, Planet Hollywood, the Hard Rock Café, and the Pirate's Voyage (formerly Dixie Stampede).

The nightclubs are legendary here, with a dizzying array of music and dancing spots. You can pick from favorites like Celebrations, Easy Rider Café, Broadway Louie's, Revolution, Bully's, and Club 2001. Our local newspaper, the Sun News, has a Kick's section every Friday, which is an excellent source of information about local happenings and live music.

When it comes to entertainment, the sky's the limit. There is a gambling Casino Cruise, the Grand Prix Thrill Park, the Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Myrtle Beach Water Park, Nascar Speed park, Ripley's Aquarium, and so much more. Bring your camera to capture some of the great moments at these attractions. All of the local Chambers of Commerce have information on attractions along this 60 mile stretch of beach we call the Grand Strand.

No description of this area would be complete without mentioning the great shopping our region is noted for. There are huge outlet malls, specialty shops, and entire shopping and entertainment complexes like Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. You'll find flea markets and antique shops, mega golf and sporting stores, and the list goes on. So when you want to take a break from the beach or the attractions, the shopping here is world-class!

Visitors like the area so much, many return to live here! U.S. Housing Markets recently ranked Myrtle beach Number 2 on its Market Hotness Index. The index measures the nation's fastest growing regions. The excellent quality of life attracts many people relocating from other areas, and a growing number of retirees.
